My Ambitions as A Rider

Nicki sat at the table with Sherika and Candi, laughing about old times. They were interrupted by the sound of clicking heels. They all turned their attention to MacKenzie. She strutted in her heels, as she'd seen her mother do, to the chair across from her mother and next to her Godmother, Candi. She climbed in to the chair and sat as though she belonged.

"What do you want little girl?" Nicki rolled her eyes.

"You look pretty, Mommy." She smiled and Candi began laughing. "Godmother?"

"Yes?"

"Can I have five dollars?"

"Sure." Before she could push her chair back Nicki stopped her.

"No. I told you once and I'm not telling you again. No ice cream."

"But-"

"Take your behind to your room and clean it like I told you to do yesterday."

"The room is clean."

"There's toys everywhere."

"Cadence did that." She whined.

"Well, tell her to help." MacKenzie stared at her mother angrily. "Keep on looking at me crazy. You know what happens next."

MacKenzie huffed before sliding out of her chair. Her walk didn't have the same stride in it as it did a few minutes earlier. She began mumbling about wanting her own room.

"MacKenzie." Nicki called and MacKenzie faced her with a pout.

"Yes, ma'am?"

"You have something to say?"

"I-" She looked at her Godmother who was shaking her head as a warning. "No."

"I thought so." They all watched her leave before resuming their conversation.

"If that ain't your child." Sherika laughed and Nicki rolled her eyes.

"Her attitude is horrible. I don't even know what to do with her."
"Hurt her feelings." Candi said. "Ain't no screaming, whooping, or evil looks gone make her act right. She's emotional and feeds off of emotions like you."

"I'm not going to do that." Nicki said.

"I'm saying, she would have a heart attack if you really gave her a room to herself. Cadence is her Safaree. You want her to keep a clean room? Take away her rock."

"Or make her think that you will." Sherika added.

"I don't know." She sighed.

"Or take away them damn shoes." Candi laughed. "That really got her feeling herself."

"And hear Safaree's mouth?" Nicki shook her head.

"Wait. He's okay with her wearing those?"

"At first he wasn't but she cried her little river and she got em. She can only wear them in the house."

"Oh..." Sherika looked up from her phone. "We need to go."

"I don't wanna." Nicki pouted.

"They'll be fine."

"Really? My husband can't even watch our kids when all his body parts are working. Now, he has one leg and eight fingers."

Candi laughed, "Girl."

Nicki sighed, "I'll meet yall in the car."

Nicki began her walk to the in home theatre where she knew Safaree was. After breaking his leg and two of his fingers while doing stunts, he trapped himself in there. Today he was especially in a bad mood. It was L.A. bike week and he was stuck at home on doctors orders. He had hit his head and was unconscious for several minutes and was told to get rest.

"Hey, babe." She sat on his lap.

"Ow!"

"What?!" She jumped up.

"You sat on my hand."

"I'm sorry." Her face fell into a frown and she immediately felt bad.

"I'm just playing." He forced a smile. Her first instinct was to hit him but she was too afraid to.

"That's not funny." She rolled her eyes and sat beside him. His face became stoic again and she smiled.

"What?"

"You."

"What, Nicki?"

"That smile was fake." He huffed. "That smile was fake but you did that to make me smile." She had a wide grin on her face and he shook his head.

"Habit." He shrugged.

"Well, keep it."

"When you leaving?"

"Now. The girls are waiting in the car."

"Where yall going?"

"Out."

"To bike week?" He said lowly and with a hint of jealousy and spite.

"Why would I go to there when I know you cant?" She asked with an attitude.

"I can."

"You have three more days in the house, Safaree. Just... I don't know..."

"Play babysitter while you go hang?"

"Okay..." She nodded. "I'm going to go now because somebody pissed in your cornflakes this morning but mine tasted lovely." She stood.

"Right."

"You act like everyone wasn't already coming. Like, you being abandoned. Nigga, you been riding bikes for how long and now you decide to hurt yourself? Who's fault is that? Right." She imitated the way he had said "right". "I'll send the girls down. I don't want them running all over here getting into God knows what while you're enjoying your pity party."

He listened as she left and moments later the girls came running in. MacKenzie instantly began climbing all over her father while Cadence walked to the front row of the theatre and sat on the ground. Micaiah had told her a story about a man who kept his cast on for fifty years and when they took it off his leg fell off and maggots crawled out from everywhere. Every since then, she wouldn't go near her father. Cadence was the child that was most like him so it bothered him that she was keeping  her distance.

"Mommy told us to cheer you up, Daddy." MacKenzie said.

"Really?" He asked.

She nodded her head hard. "She said you was acting like a poop head."

"Did she?" He laughed knowing that 'poop' probably wasn't Nicki's choice of words.

"Do we have to watch this, Daddy?" Cadence asked sweetly.

"What do you want to watch, Princess?"

"Princess and the Frog."

"Of course." He laughed.

"No!" MacKenzie yelled and got in the theatre chair next to her father and began jumping. "Let's watch..... um...."
"You don't even know what you wanna watch, son." Safaree shook his head. "Aye, get down."

"I do." MacKenzie hopped to the seat next to that one and continued to jump. "I wanna watch one of mommy's movies."

"You not old enough. Get down!"

"We can watch Ice Age." Cadence said.

"That's not what she talking about." Safaree said. "If I have to tell you one more time..."

"You're funny, Daddy." MacKenzie continued to jump.

"Am I?"

"Yup." She jumped. "Cause you can't catch me!" She hopped down and began running through the aisles.

"MacKenzie." He said sternly.

"Kenzie, stop." Cadence said. MacKenzie continued to giggle and run.

"MacKenzie Grace!" He raised his voice. As she was running down the last step she looked back at him and fell. She instantly began crying. He looked at his watch. Nicki hadn't even been gone for fifteen minutes. He shook his head before hopping to see about his daughter.

"Come here." He sat in a seat and opened his arms. She sobbed as she walked towards him. "Where does it hurt?" She pushed her eyes closed so that her tears could spill over before pointing to her leg. He shook his head at her dramatics.

"Is she gonna have to get a cast like you, Daddy?" Cadence asked.

"No." He laughed. "Go get that ice thingy your mom uses when yall get hurt."

"The princess ice pack?" She tilted her head to the side and pushed her brows together.

"Yeah." He pulled up MacKenzie's pant leg to see if she had a bruise.

"I can't do that." She said plainly.

"What?" He looked at her funny. "Why not?"

"I'm too short." Her voiced squeaked and she shrugged.

"Look." He sighed and looked at MacKenzie who was still playing her role. "You listening?"

"Um, hmmm." She nodded.

"Get a paper towel and-"

"I can't reach that either."

"You can reach the ones in the bathroom." She nodded in agreement. "Then go to the kitchen and get about four ice cubes and-"

"I can't-"

"Cadence." He huffed irritably.

"Daddy, mommy said she gone whoop the black off me if I play with that." Her eyes grew wide. If anybody in the house feared Nicki, it was Cadence.

"You not playing. You're helping your sister. Mommy will be proud."

"Okay."

"Ok... So, you're going to put the ice in paper towel and bring it to me."

"That's ghetto." MacKenzie sniffled.

"What?" He looked at her funny. "How would you know anything about anything being ghetto?"

"Mommy said that to Caiah when he did that. That's why we have ice packs, Daddy." Cadence nodded in agreement.

"Well, your leg must not hurt then."

"Noooo." She whined. "It does. It hurts bad, Daddy."

"Cadence." Safaree said.

"Yes?"

"Go get the ice."

"Ok."

After three movies, two hour long debates and a popcorn fight, the girls had finally fallen asleep. They were curled up together in one chair and sharing a blanket. He couldn't help but to smile. He took a picture and uploaded it to Instagram with a caption that read, "#MyView #Wouldntwanttobeanywhereelse #Lovemygirls #Missingone #andmyboys". Just as he started to enjoy his movie, he felt two familiar hands on his shoulders.

"I have a surprise for you." She whispered in his ear. "Come on."

She helped him get up and they made their way to the elevator. The ride up was silent. She thought that he was still upset but he was actually just tired. She lead him to the garage.

"Ok... you ready?" She smiled wide.

"Yeah..." He said dully. She hit the button on the wall and the garage door began to rise. Suddenly he heard the familiar sound of motorcycles from every direction. They began doing stunts and riding around as if they hadn't a care in the world.

"Babe-" He smiled.

"You couldn't go to bike week so I bought it to you."

"I love you."

"I know."

"You're the best."

"I know." She smiled and turned her attention to the show before them.

***Idk where that title came from. Tupac just randomly popped up in my head and I ran with it.***

Baby Fever

After spending the entire day teaching Micaiah how to ride motorcycles, against Nicki's wishes and behind her back, Safaree was pleased to enter the kitchen to find her cooking. He leaned against the counter and watched her. She moved with purpose but it was still so graceful. She noticed him staring but continued on with her tasks.

"You just gone let them argue?" He said in reference to Cadence and Kenzie fussing.

"They're debating. It's a difference." She stirred what was in her pot.

"What?" He laughed.

"It's actually cute." She wiped her hands and looked at him. "You know Cadence is crazy about Princess Tiana, right?"

"Yeah, she watch that movie like ten times a day."

"Just twice. Once before and once after her nap." She said. "Anyway, Kenzie said that she wasn't a real princess and that pissed Cadence off."

"Word?"

"Kenzie said that Jasmine was the better Princess."

"Oh, no she didn't." He rolled his eyes and neck dramatically and she laughed.

"She did but get this. Do you know what my baby said?" She smiled and didn't give him a chance to respond. "She said, Aladdin wasn't even about Jasmine. Besides, Tiana looks like us.' Yo, she is so smart! The fact that she can relate to the character based on her personal similarities... What four year old watches a movie and says 'Thats the only one who looks like me.'?" She smiled proudly.

"You always telling her that it's good to be different."

"I know but I didn't think she was putting so much thought into it. I had no idea that she even noticed the differences in freaking characters like that."

"That's my baby." He smiled proudly.

"Nah, you keep the other two." She turned back to the stove.

Just as her back was turned he crept up behind her. He placed his hands on her waist and kissed her neck.

"Let's make another."

"No. Move." She said seriously.

Every since they had came back from New York where they had visited his sister and her newborn baby, that's all he had been talking about. Any chance he got to seduce her, he did. He even got Cadence on his side by having her draw pictures of the family with a baby and asking Nicki for one. And she now made it a point to ask everyday.

"You don't even wanna talk about it?" He asked as she slipped away from him.

"We talked about it."

"No, we didn't."

"What part of 'no' don't you understand?"

"Don't you miss when the kids were little?"

"They're still little."

"Not having debates..."

"If everytime one of these kids matures you want to have another, my uterus is gonna fall out."

"Nicki." He stared at her blankly.

"Yo, Ma." Micaiah entered. "Can I go over Vanessa's?"

"I'm cooking."

"I know but it's spaghetti Saturday over there."

"It's Sitcho Ass Down and appreciate what I'm making over here Saturday."

Safaree laughed, "Be back by eight."

"Alright. Thanks!" He hurried and walked out of the room before his mother could object. Safaree looked at Nicki to see her looking at him angrily.

"What?" He asked.

"Why?"

"He's a teenage boy with a crush."

"So? I cooked for us to sit down together."

"If you make him stay he gone have an attitude."

"I don't care. I cooked. The hell does a Spaghetti Saturday have on my food?"

"Its not the spaghetti, Nic. Its the girl."

"Forget her." She rolled her eyes.

"How about this." He wrapped his arms around her once again. "How about we forget about Micaiah and make ano-"

"Move." She pushed his arms away.

"Mommy." Cadence's voice was just the distraction Nicki was hoping for.

"Yes, my sweet baby?"

"Are you done cooking?"

"Almost."

"Ok." She stood in her same spot.

"Can I help you with anything else?"

"No."  She smiled. "Except a baby."

Safaree began laughing hysterically and Cadence giggled. Nicki rolled her eyes and continued her cooking.

"Mommy?"

"What Cadence?" She didn't look up this time.

"You don't want another baby?"

"Nope."

"Why?"

Nicki turned to her and bent down. "Because, if i have a new baby then you won't be my sweet baby any more."

"Yuh huh."

Nicki shook her head, "Nope and I'll be so busy feeding and changing that baby that we won't have our special cuddle time."

Cadence looked at Safaree. "I don't want a baby, Daddy."

"She lying, Caddy." He said seriously.

"This is the man who said your lips would fall off if you kiss a boy. I kiss him everyday."

"You can cuddle with me." He said.

"He stinks!" Nicki said.

"You lied to me before, Daddy." Cadence said.

"When?"

"You said that I could watch Tiana and when Mama left you kept saying later."

"You watch that stupid movie everyday!"

"Its not stupid!" She said angrily.

"Safaree, take it back." Nicki warned.

"Take it back, Daddy." Cadence pouted.

"Nope." He laughed.

"Fine." Cadence said. Her hair swung as she turned with an attitude to walk away.

Nicki laughed, "You must've forgotten that you messing with Ms. Holdagrudgeforahundredyears a.k.a Safaree Jr."

''She'll be fine." He shrugged and looked at his phone.

"If you say so." She turned off the stove before turning her attention to him. "Hey, babe."

"You need help?"

"Just have the girls wash their hands and get them situated at the table. I got everything else."

"Alright." He whistled and the girls came running. Nicki rolled her eyes. She hated when he called on them like they were animals. She didn't know that was the only he found them in parks and supermarkets after losing them though.

"Hi, Daddy." Kenzie hugged her fathers legs.

"Come one, let's get cleaned up for dinner."

They walked to the first floor, half bath together. Somehow the girls convinced him to become their human step stool. As he sat on all fours, he wondered how they had that power over him. Not even Nicki could convince him to do half of the crazy things that they did. He stood and dried their hands for them.

"Daddy, when mommy brings the baby home, can we take it to dance?" Kenzie asked.

""Mommy isn't having a baby." Cadence informed her sister.

"Is too!"

"Is not!"

"She is! She said she was so happy that we were having a baby finally and she can't wait to name it." MacKenzie rolled her neck with a lot of attitude.

"Shut up!" Cadence said.

"Aye, chill." Safaree shook his head as he flicked the light. In his eyes, they were the perfect combination of his sisters and Nicki and sometimes he hated it.

All through dinner MacKenzie's words played in his head. Nicki couldn't be pregnant. He would've known. He stared at her while she ate to seem if her habits had changed any. In her true fashion, she eventually snapped and asked him what he was staring at. He simply laughed and shook his head. If she was hormonal, he wouldn't be able to tell from the normal Nicki. If she even existed.

After finally getting the girls to bed and Nicki going on a rant about Micaiah being late by ten minutes for curfew, Nicki and Safaree finally settled in bed. Nicki sent off one final email before placing her phone down and tuning into Sports Center with her husband. She sighed as she got comfortable next to him.

"You're a piece of work. You know that?" He shook his head with a smile.

"How?" She laughed.

"When were you going to tell me?"

"Tell you what?" She looked at him funny.

"You know...'' She raised an eyebrow. "Quit playing."

She laughed, "I'm really fucking lost right now."

He sighed, "The baby?"

"Wh-... MacKenzie?"

"Yeah... Why didn't you tell me?"

"It's none of yours or your nosy ass daughters business."

"How is that not my business? You're my wife." He said irritated.

"Exactly. I'm your wife. Not Sherika. They aren't telling anyone yet so-"

"Wait-"

"What?" She looked at him confused. When she figured out what he was thinking she busted out laughing. "You thought.... I...." She laughed even harder. "That's what you get for listening to a gossiping five year old."

"Man..." He shook his head.

"Aww, babe. I'm sorry." She pecked his lips twice.

"Can we work on the baby now or-"

"No, but I'll let you get a puppy." She smile. He huffed and flicked off the television before tuning over. She laughed. "Babe, puppies are fun."

I threw this together a while ago and it was in my drafts for a long time. I just completed and hopefully it flows right. Thanks for reading!

Untitled Oneshot #2

Nicki entered the dark house. She had been busy all day with the kids before going to an award show. To say that she was exhausted was an understatement. She pulled off her shoes before walking up the stairs. All she wanted to do was shower and sleep. A sense of confusion came over her when she reached top of the stairs and heard MacKenzie talking. She followed her voice, and the bathroom light.

"Daddy, you have to get all the soap out." She huffed as she instructed her father on how to wash her sister's hair. "Mommy does it better." She commented and leaned over the bath tub to get a better look.

"Ow!" Cadence whined.

"What?!" Safaree said with a hint of fear in his voice.

"It burns!" She cried.

"What burns?" He asked.

"Her eyes, Daddy." MacKenzie explained.

Nicki sighed before stepping into the bathroom, "Move, Safaree."

MacKenzie and Safaree both looked up. Safaree had a look of relief as he moved with no questions asked. Nicki sat on the side of the tub and rinsed the soap out of Cadence's eyes before rinsing her hair.

"Hi, Mommy." MacKenzie said excitedly.

"Don't hi me little girl. Why are you up?"

"Tell her." Safaree said when MacKenzie looked at him.

"Cadence needed her hair washed." She said smally.

"Um, hmm." Nicki said as she wrapped a towel around Cadence's head. "Why do you need your hair washed?" Cadence looked at MacKenzie. "Look at me."

"Well, Daddy said we could stay up a little late and when we got on his nerves he told us to go play in our room."

"What does this have to do with your hair, Cadence?"

"When we went in the room Kenzie said we should play beauty shop and she said she was gonna do my hair like in your video." Nicki sighed and looked at MacKenzie then back at Cadence when she continued to talk. "She put paint in my hair and Daddy got mad. He didn't think it was pretty."

"What else she do?" Safaree asked.

"When she cut it?" Cadence asked.

NIcki's eyes got wide. "She cut it?!" She began running her fingers through her hair and pulling on the curls to see where the length fell. She ran her hand over her face before sighing. It was uneven in many places.

"What's wrong, Mommy?" Cadence asked innocently.

"Nothing." She said irritated. She went to grab a blow dryer and plugged it in.

"Mommy?" MacKenzie asked.

"What?"

"Are you mad?" She asked in a sing song voice as she swayed back and forth.

"MacKenzie, go to bed." Nicki said annoyed.

"But-"

"Go. To. Bed." Kenzie huffed and began walking out. "And don't think you gone sleep until three o'clock in the afternoon because your behind wanted to be up at three am playing beauty salon!"

"So-"

"Safaree, get out."

"O-K." He walked out and she started the dryer.

After blow drying her hair and sending her to bed Nicki got in the shower. She didn't speak to Safaree, just gave him dirty looks. All he had to do was send them to bed on time and he couldn't do that. On top of that Micaiah wasn't at home and Safaree couldn't tell her where he was. When she got out of the shower both of the girls were in the bed with Safaree. She rolled her eyes before grabbing her favorite pillow and began to walk out.

"Where are you going, Mommy?" Cadence asked.

"To bed." She called over her shoulder.

She tried to get comfortable in the guest bed but she couldn't. She tossed and turned for almost a half an hour. All she could think of was all of the things that she had to get done the next day, including Cadence's hair, and how uncomfortable she was. This only happened when she wasn't sleeping next to Safaree. She debated on going to get in the bed with him and the kids but she honestly didn't feel like having Cadence squeeze the life out of her or MacKenzie fighting her in her sleep. Her thoughts were interrupted by the door opening. He got into the bed with her and laid beside her without touching her.

"Where are the girls?"

"In our bed."

"I'm mad at you."

"I know."

"Every time I leave them with you someone is hurt or lost or-"

"This is nothing new though." He chuckled.

"It's not funny, Safaree." She whined. "Its like you don't even try. When I come home from work at two o'clock in the morning the last thing I wanna do is wash a kids hair."

"I do try. They don't listen."

"They not afraid of you."

"I don't want them to be."

"But they don't listen to you at all. That's not acceptable."

"I don't want them to not like me."

"You think I care if that five year old likes me?" She laughed.

"Those my little girls."

"They bad as fuck because of you."

"Me?"

"Yeah."

"What little girls you know have regular spa appointments?"

"They go because I go. If I leave them with you it'll be regular emergency room appointments."

"These kids gone be the death of us."

"Speak for yourself. I'll be damned if these little bastards kill me." She laughed.

"Yooo." He laughed. "Your a horrible mom."

She laughed, "I would never say that in front of them. I love my babies. They just annoy me. Especially MacKenzie's bad ass."

"Are you mad?" Safaree imitated MacKenzie and they both laughed.

"She always ask me that shit when she know she pissed me off."

"She got that shit from you."

"I do not do that." She laughed.

"You do. You always piss me off then do little shit like that to make it worse."

"Whatever. Its only two of me. It's three of you."

"What?"

"That shit you do when you hold shit in for months then randomly go off months later... Caiah and Cadence do that."

"Everybody can't be like you going off everytime the wind blows too hard."

"Shut up." She laughed. She yawned before moving closer to him. She rested her head on his chest and wrapped her arms around him. She was sleep within minutes.

  The Next Day

"Mommy, I don't wanna." Cadence whined.

"It'll be fine. Ms. Lisa won't cut it too much." Nicki said and the child stared at her with a pout. "So, you willingly allowed your sister to cut your hair but a professional can't?" She didn't respond. Nicki huffed. "MaCadence, don't be difficult."

"I'm gonna be bald like Daddy and Caiah."

"No, you're not."

"You go first."

"What?!"

"If you get bald first then I will."

"Baby, you're not gonna be bald." Cadence blankly stared at her. She sighed. "Fine." Nicki sat in the kids size chair.

"You just want me to cut the wig?" Lisa whispered in her ear.

"Yeah."

Lisa picked up a comb and scissors and parted a section.

"See, not scary at all." Nicki said.

"That's not your real hair, mommy." Cadence said dryly.

"MaCadence. "

"Mommy, you can't cheat. It's dishonest."

Nicki rolled her eyes and pulled off the wig. Lisa called an assistant over to help take down her braids. At first Nicki thought about chickening out but the way Cadence looked at her changed her mind. She looked at her in amazement and with pride.

"Are you ready?" Lisa asked holding the ponytail.

She took a deep breath, "Yup."

"All done." Lisa said after making the big chop.

Nicki arose from the chair and looked at it in the mirror. It fell a few inches past her shoulder. She didn't know why but she felt like crying.

"Did it hurt, Mommy?" Cadence asked.

"No." She laughed.

"Can I see?"

"Sure." Nicki picked her up. She ran her fingers threw her mothers hair with a smile.

"Can I go next?" She smiled wide.

"I don't know. Now that I did it I don't think you're ready." Nicki said.

"But I am, Mama."

"Nah, its for big girls. Besides, Ms. Lisa can't stop in the middle because you wanna cry and freak out again. You'll look crazy."

"I won't cry. Promise." She held her pinky out.

"Ok." Nicki linked their pinkies.

Hours later that arrived home. Nicki had running around to do and just took Cadence alone. Cadence was good for running around with. As long as she had Nicki's headphones and iPod she wouldn't complain.

They walked into an empty house. They heard the kids screaming and splashing outside and instantly knew what was going on.

"Mommy, can I go swimming?"

"Yeah. Go put on your swimming suit."

"Yay!" She began running to her room.

"The red one... And stop running!"

"Yall back?" She heard Safaree's voice and turned to see him closing the sliding door that lead to the backyard.

"Yeah. Who told yall to have a party while we were gone?"

"Its just a few of Caiah's friends." He shrugged. "Yo, check this." He motioned for her to come to the window and she did.

"What?"

"Ya boy Caiah got a girlfriend." She looked out the window and observed the scene.

She laughed, "Please, he isn't thinking about her."

"How you know?"

"One, she's skinny as fuck. He likes thick girls. That's why he keep looking at my home girl in the black one piece. Two, he's doing that half listening shit that he does to me. Not paying her no type of attention."

"Whatever."

As soon as he said that the girl in the black swimming suite got out of the pool. Micaiah, who was sitting on the edge of the pool, gave the girl talking to him the "just one second" finger and got up. He almost rushed to the other girl and wrapped a towel around her. They talked for a second before begging to walk in.

"Shit." Safaree said and pulled Nicki's arm.

"What?"

"We can't be in here. Cock blocking and shit."

"When Micaiah is old enough to have a cock that needs blocking and pays bills, then I'll leave a room."

"Come on man." He pulled her into the dining room. She peeked her head around the corner and Safaree tried to pull her back. She pinched his arm and he released her.

"You're like the only boy who takes all AP classes willingly." The girl laughed.

"Nah, other dudes do too. They think girls like dumb dudes."

"You don't?"

"Nah, my moms always told me that it ain't nothing worst than a dumb nigga. And my pops act a fool but if he was dumb she wouldn't be with him."

"How long have your parents been together?" She asked as she watched him get waters for both of them.

"Um, I don't even know. Pops scooped her when she was like seventeen."

"Really?" She smiled.

"Yeah."

"My parents got married young but they divorced after three years."

"For real."

"Yeah." She took a sip of her water. "I always wanted something like that. Like, what your parents have. I mean, i know I'm only like fifteen but i think about that kind of stuff. Do you?"

"Huh?"

"What are you staring at?" She laughed.

"You."

"Don't."

"You're beautiful."

"Jessica likes you and-" He kissed her.

Nicki's eyes widened. She turned and looked at Safaree who was smiling. She hit him and motioned for him to go stop them but he shook his head with a grin. This was what she deserved for being nosey and lurking around.

"Mommy, Daddy... What are you doing?" Cadence asked. Nicki put her finger to her lip. "Why do i have to be quiet? Are we gonna scare somebody? Who we gonna scare?"

"Ma?" Micaiah peeked in. Nicki rolled her eyes. "What are yall doing?"

"Oh." Nicki laughed. "We were just... I mean, I just wanted to show your Dad that I cut my hair. See." She pulled off her baseball cap and let her hair fall.

"Yooo. Why did you do this?" Safaree asked.

"You don't like it, Daddy?"

"You was being nosey." Micaiah said.

"We weren't." Nicki said.

"What yall doing in here then? You never let us come in here." Micaiah said.

"You cut a lot off." Safaree said, still focused on her hair.

"Daddy, your being rude. You should complement, Mommy."

"That's right baby." Nicki smiled.

"Next time I'll just have sex with a girl. Give yall something to watch." Micaiah mumbled while walking away.

"What'd he say?" Nicki asked.

"Nothing..." Safaree shook his head.

"He said he's gonna have sex." Cadence said. "What's that?"

Untitled Oneshot

"Alright." Nicki stood after tying Cadence's shoe. "What do you say?"

"Thank you."

"You're welcome." She smiled. "Safaree!"

"Yeah?" He laughed as he walked into the room with MacKenzie hanging onto his leg while holding Sebastian upside down.

"Can you stop playing? Its time to go."

"We ready." He placed Sebastian on the floor. She rolled her eyes and snatched her keys off the table.

"Lets go then." She said.

"Just one second. I gotta-"

"Seriously?" She stared at him blankly. "We'll be in the car."

After getting the kids into the car she got into the passengers side. She looked at her phone in hopes that the kids would catch the hint to stop calling her name to tell on one another. She wanted to do a simple back to school shopping trip but she knew that was not a possibility. Nicki placed her hand on the horn and let it stay until Safaree came walking out. He walked past the car and to the area where his bikes were.

"What are you doing?" She opened her door and asked.

"Riding."

"Nobody has time for that, Safaree."

"Yo-"

"Don't make this difficult. We both know how its gonna end." They stared at each other until he began pulling off his padding. She closed her door and smiled.

"Mommy?" MacKenzie said.

"Yes?"

"Are we still gonna get ice cream?"

"Yup."

"Yay!" MacKenzie and MacCadence screamed.

"Only if everyone acts right." Nicki said.

"And doesn't get on your nerves?" Cadence asked.

"Yup. That includes Daddy." She side eyed him as he got into the drivers seat.

"Am I gonna get stuff, mommy?" Cadence asked.

"Not today, Kay. We're just gonna get Bash and Kenzie what they need for school and I'll take you out later. Ok?"

"Ok."

"Mommy?" MacKenzie said.

"Yes?"

"I'm a big girl cause I getta go to school with big kids and learn and play and stuff."

"Yup." Nicki said.

"Am I a big girl?" Cadence asked.

"Nope." MacKenzie answered before Nicki could. "You're a baby."

"Am not!" Cadence said angrily.

"You can't go to school."

"Shut up."

"Don't tell your sister to shut up, Cadence." MacKenzie stuck her tongue out at her sister. "And stop picking with her, MacKenzie, cause you the first to cry when she calls you one."

"Nini?" A quiet voice spoke.

"Yes, Bash?"

"Are we still going to the game store?"

"I'm gone take you later on." Safaree said.

"Ok."

"Where is Micaiah?" Nicki asked Safaree.

"With his friends." Safaree said as he kept his eyes on the road.

"With what friends?"

"I ain't ask." He shrugged.

"That's something that we need to know, Safaree."

"He's going back to school shopping with friends. Nothing bad can happen."

"You don't know that."

"You always think the worst or don't trust him before he even proves to be untrustworthy."

"You don't get it." She shook her head.

"If you wanna run behind him for the next fours years, go right ahead. I'm not."

She rolled her eyes and mumbled under her breath while texting her son. He shook his head. He knew exactly why she wanted to make everything into an arguement. He wished that she would just say what she was feeling instead of nitpicking about every little thing.

Hours later they found themselves in a shoe store. This was to be there last stop of the day. It was taking much longer than expected because Safaree convinced Nicki to shop for Cadence as well as the other two. She agreed knowing that he would be no help to her. This would have been fine if MacCadence didn't have a weirdly sized foot. She couldn't fit the half or whole sizes in any of the shoes she wanted which  were all the same shoes as her older sister.

"How does this one feel?" Nicki asked.

"Like hurt."

"It hurts?" MacCadence nodded. "And the other one was too big?" She nodded again. "Well, maybe you just don't need these Cadence."

"But I want them." She whined.

"You can't fit them. Find a different shoe that you like and-"

"I want this one." She stomped her foot and pouted.

"Safaree!" Nicki called out.

"Yeah?" He looked up from his phone.

"Could you like... I don't know... Get off your phone and deal with this?"

"What?"

"Explain to her why she can't have these. I'm over it. Cause if she stomps her foot at me like that again, believe me when I say she won't be able to walk." Nicki rolled her eyes and walked to where Sebastian was.

"You got everything you wanted, Bash?" She asked.

"Yes."

"You sure?"

"Mmmhmm." He smiled.

"Ok." She smiled. Sebastian was a man of few words but Nicki appreciated it because her biological children wouldn't stop talking.

"Cadence, come here!" Nicki heard MacKenzie's voice and followed her eyes to it.

She was stood in front of the stores big picture window and making faces at the paparazzi. Nicki sighed. She knew that if any of her kids were to take the same path as her in life it would be MacKenzie. Nicki was annoyed by the paparazzi but her strange obsession with fame was passed along to her daughter. MacKenzie was fearless. There was no camera or stage that she was afraid of.

"No." Nicki said. "Cadence, you whined about the shoes so go get them. MacKenzie, come here."

"Yes, mommy?" MacKenzie looked at her feet.

"What did I tell you before?"

"Not to pay attention to them." She looked at Nicki. "But they keep following us so I made faces so they would leave."

Nicki laughed lightly, "Lemme see the face."MacKenzie screwed up her face and looked just like Nicki. Nicki laughed hysterically and MacKenzie followed suit.

"Mommy, look!" Cadence said.

"Excuse me?" Nicki looked at her.

"Look at my shoes, mommy!"

"Mommy?"

"You're silly, mommy." She laughed.

"I don't have any kids." She stepped away from her.

"Mommy, look at my shoes." Cadence whined.

"Stop calling me that."

"Mommy." She frowned and stepped towards her and Nicki stepped back.

"Security!" Nicki laughed.

"Mommy!" She cried and fell to the ground.

"Aw, baby." Nicki extended her hand to her.

"No!" She cried and folded her arms before turning away.

"I got her." Safaree picked her up and she rested her head on his shoulder. "You must've volunteered to play bad guy today."

She rolled her eyes and rubbed Cadence's back.

"I was just playing, baby. Mommy loves you." Cadence buried her face into Safaree's chest and he laughed.

"You get on my nerves." She said.

"Nah, you mad at yourself. Hurting this precious baby's feelings." He rubbed her back and her head popped up.

"I not a baby, daddy. I'm a big girl like Kenzie cept I don't go to school but I don't pee on myself like Lexi. She's a baby. I'm not." He looked over her serious face before smiling.

"Will you be my baby? I'll buy you ice cream and barbies." He looked at her ponder.

"Ok but only for three days and you can't tell anyone."

"Ok." He laughed.

"Pinky promise." She put her small pinky out and he locked his with it. She slid out of his arms and ran over to the other two children who were hovering over Safaree's phone playing a game.

"You gone be my baby after the three days up?" He asked Nicki and she smiled.

"Ask me if I give a damn about anything you have going on in three days." She walked pass him. "Ma'am, we're ready."

"Evil ass." He mumbled and walked behind her.

Nicki stood at the counter checking all of the sizes and shoes. She didn't trust the sales associates to do it and even though MacKenzie was five she was already in the habit of discreetly sliding items onto the counter that they didn't ok. It wasn't that they couldn't pay for the items. It was the fact that she was being sneaky to get what she wanted that bothered Nicki. Sure enough, Nicki opened the box to find a small pair of heels. Safaree told MacKenzie that she wasn't allowed to have them and Nicki had no choice but to back him.

"MacKenzie." She called.

"Yes, mommy." She slid off the bench and skipped over to Nicki.

"What's this?" She showed her the box and she shrugged. "Looks like the shoes that your Dad said you couldn't have."

"But... "

"Don't lie."

"I wasn't gonna lie."

"There's nothing to say though, MacKenzie. You were trying to be sneaky."

"I wasn't." She looked sad.

"Ok." Nicki said then turned her attention to the cashier. "All of this," She waved her hand around the shoes that were to be MacKenzie's. "They can go back."

"But, mommy." She whined.

"So, just these?" The cashier gestured towards the shoes that were Candence's and Bash's.

"Yes." Nicki answered.

"Mommy." She cried and rested her head on Nicki's thigh.

"No, ask your Dad to get them. I'm not spending my money on you." In this moment she expected him to back her but he didn't.

"Daddy." MacKenzie cried as she found her way into her fathers arms while Nicki paid for the other children's shoes.

"Cadence. Bash." She called and they walked over. "Here." She handed them their bags. Safaree stepped to the counter holding MacKenzie who's breathing was hitched.

"Imma get these for her." He said.

He seen Nicki cut her eyes at him and heard her heavy sigh but he ignored it. After paying he handed Kenzie her bag and she happily joined the other kids.

"Why did you do that?" Nicki asked lowly.

"You was gone send her to school with no shoes."

"Safaree, she has a closet full of shoes that fit. I was gonna get them for her anyways. All you had to do was back me."

"You done?"

"Ser-"

"Seriously." He nodded and stepped to her. He leaned down and whispered in her ear. "You been complaining about little shit all day to piss me off. Now I'm here. So, yeah, seriously. Stop testing me. Grab the girls and lets go."

He put his sunglasses on his face and went to get the girls' shopping bags. Nicki put her purse on her shoulder and sunglasses on her face before grabbing a hold on MacKenzie and MacCadence's hands.

Moments later they found themselves at the ice cream shop. All the kids ran to the glass and stared at the many options before them. Nicki and Safaree hadn't spoken since they had left the store but Nicki kept giving him puppy dog eyes and he was trying to ignore it.

"I want this flavor and this flavor and this one and that one and-"

"Ok, Cadence." Nicki laughed.

"I want all the flavors!" She said and all the adults laughed.

"Lets start with one tonight, baby girl." Safaree said.

"Ok." She looked over her options. "I want this one!" She pointed to the cotton candy flavor.

"I want this one." MacKenzie pointed to a banana split flavor.

"You can't get that one, mama." Nicki said. "Everything you're allergic to is in that."

"Well... I want this one." She point to one that had nuts in it and Nicki sighed.

"Faree, get Cadence and Bash situated while I help Kenz."

"Alright." He nodded.

These moments were always difficult and Nicki seen it going horribly wrong. MacKenzie had at least five food allergies which was easy to deal with on most days because they never placed options in front of her that she couldn't have. Nicki watched as the other two children sat and began eating their treat while MacKenzie stood sadly watching.

"Look, Mook." Nicki said. "They have vanilla and chocolate and-"

"Those are boring."

"Get the one that Cadence has."

"That kind is nasty." She said sadly.

"Well, you have to pick something that won't make you sick. You don't want to go back to the hospital again, do you?"

"No, I just want some ice cream." She pouted.

Nicki sighed, "Don't do this, Kenny. You know that you can't eat certain things. This isn't new."

"It's not fair." She looked at Nicki sadly.

"You know, there's a candy store like two doors down." The server said.

"That sounds cool." Nicki smiled. "Wanna get some candy?"

"No." MacKenzie pouted.

"Come on. Just us." She smiled but MacKenzie was unmoved. Nicki grabbed her hand.

"We're going to get candy." She called to Safaree.

"I want some!" MacCadence said eagerly.

"Me too!" Sebastian chimed in.

"Nope. Just me and Kenzie." She called over her shoulder.

When they got into the candy store MacKenzie was still dragging her feet. Anything Nicki picked up and asked her if she wanted she shrugged at.

"What's wrong, Mama?" Nicki asked. "You love candy."

"I want ice cream."

"You want ice cream that has things in it that you're allergic to. You could've still had another flavor but you decided not to. Now we're here and you're hurting my feelings by being a Debbie downer."

"Who's Debbie?"

"A lady who mopes around, making everyone else sad."

"How come I gotta be allergic to stuff? Is it cause I'm bad?"

"What?" Nicki laughed.

"Cause when I do bad stuff you and daddy say I can't do other stuff."

"No. I told you that this is just the way that God made you."

"I'm in trouble with him?"

"No."

"Why then?"

Nicki huffed and twisted her lips, "Oh! Ok. So, you know how you're about to start school but you're sister cant?"

"Cause she's not old enough. She's a baby."

"She's not a baby but yeah. That's because God gave you to me first. Now, Cadence really wants to start school but she can't because?"

"God made me first."

"Right." She nodded. "Do you think that Cadence thinks that's fair?"

"Noooo."

"But that's just the way it is." Nicki shrugged. "And I promise that you aren't missing anything spectacular."

"How do I know that?"

"Do you ever hear anybody running around saying, "I LOVEEEEE BANANAS!" or, or "I LOVEEEE PEANUTS!!!!"?"

MacKenzie giggled, "Noooo!"

"PEANUTS ARE AWESOME!" They heard a random voice. They both looked over at a man walking out of the store. "NICKI, YOU'RE AWESOME!"

"Thank you." She laughed and MacKenzie looked at her weirdly.

"Mommy, you're crazy."

"Oh, yeah?"

"Mmmhmmm."

"Guess I should put all of this candy back."

"No! I'm sorry!" She laughed.

After getting the kids settled in the media room Nicki set off to find Safaree. He was in the game room, shooting pool. She sat on the edge next to where he was and he moved pass her. She rolled her eyes and sighed as she turned her body to face him.

"Safaree, come here."

"You know I don't like you sitting on my shit."

"You liked it when I was sitting on your-"

"Yo, what do you want?"

"Come here." She pouted and batted her eye lashes. He sighed and walked towards her. She pulled on his shirt and pulled him closer so that he was standing between her legs.

"What man?"

"So, I think we misunderstood each other earlier."

"Oh?"

"Yeah. When I was saying that I wasn't going to Bash's party that didn't mean that you couldn't."

"But you said that you weren't going and that I cant take your kids and fuck me if I went."

"See, this is where the misunderstanding comes in cause-" He shook his head and laughed. "What?"

"Cause you about to try to mind fuck me and I aint in the mood for it."

"No, I'm not." She said with an attitude, "Earlier, I said that I wasn't going and that I didn't want to go and just like now when you cut me off, you cut me off earlier."

He huffed, "So, what was you gone say?" She opened her mouth to say something but he cut her off. "You mad petty. Like, shit aint even that serious."

"Um, ok. . . So, if I put you in a room with Webb or Brandon you would be cool."

"Son."

"You would just be chilling? Like, I don't get it."

"You act like I'm gone fuck the bitch. It's a kids party, Nic."

"Oh, because we never stuck off at our kids parties?"

He sighed, "For four years we been good son."

"Ok, but I don't like the bitch and I know I'm not gonna be able to bite my tongue. You know me and what my feelings are towards her. Fucking Joan said that the bitch is engaged." She shook her head. "I just can't. Like, everybody is gonna sit around and act like she isn't running in and out of that boys life and on top of that I'm supposed to act like she didn't fuck my husband? Nah. I'm not doing that."

"But you know this is important to Bash. All he wants is for all of his family to be together."

"I already talked to him though."

"That shit don't matter. You like the only mama that boy got. You and Joan. But Stephanie aint never been there."

"I'm not doing it." She chuckled.

"Just show your face." She huffed and shook her head. "Come on."

"Alright." She said and he smiled. "Fifteen minutes tops and I'm out."

"Where's my apology?"

"That was your apology, nigga!"

"It's been four days." She busted out laughing.

"Safaree. . ." She laughed.

"I'm just saying." He shrugged. "Four. Long. Days."

She cocked her head to the side and bite her lip.

"Let's make a deal."

"Alright."

"If both of the girls are sleep and Bash looks like he's falling asleep then you can have me right now, anyway and anyplace."

"Nah, cause Cadence ass stays up mad late if we let her."

"Ok. So, if Kenzie is sleep and the other two look like their on the way AND Micaiah is in his own little world then you can have me anyway, anyplace."

"Deal." He turned on his heels.

"Wait, nigga. Shake on it."

They shook hands and she hopped off the table and followed him. They could hear whatever movie they were watching playing loudly. Safaree looked at Nicki and nodded as if to say, "Its about to go down." and she smirked. He rounded the corner and was smacked in the head with a stuffed animal.

"Sorry, Daddy!" MacKenzie said. "I was trying to hit Caiah." She picked it up and ran in the other direction.

Safaree looked at Nicki laughing hysterically then back at the children running wild. they didn't look in the least bit sleepy.

"Alright, niggas! Everybody in the bed, now!" Safaree yelled.

"What?!" MacCadence yelled. "The fun just started!"

"Yeah, well, playtime is over and its bedtime."

"But we're not ready, Daddy." MacKenzie said sweetly.

"Nah, they ready." Micaiah said.

"Shut up, stupid!" She yelled.

"Hey, hey!" Nicki said. "Don't call your brother stupid."

"He lacks brains." MacKenzie said.

"Well, then, say that."

"You don't have a brain dumb dumb!"

"MacKenzie." Nicki said.

"What?" She looked at her confused.

"No name calling."

"Look, its time for bed."

"For Kenzie and Cadence?" Bash asked.

"Everyone."

"Well, put mommy to bed and then come back." MacKenzie said seriously.

"That's what I'm trying to do." Nicki punched his arm.

"Yo." Micaiah said.

"Micaiah, don't start." Nicki warned.

"We gots to go to bed, mommy?"

Nicki looked at her watch, "Um, in an hour we'll come back and then you'll have to go to bed for real."

"But-"

"Shush, Safaree. Come on." She pulled his shirt.

"I gotta wait an hour, son?"

"No," She smiled. "You got an hour to warm up."

Meh, I know this isn't much but its a lot considering all that I got going on. When I do these oneshots for these characters, don't expect a storyline. so, the next oneshot might not have anything to do with this one. Ok?

All That Matters

Nicki sat up staring at Safaree sleep. She was restless and couldn't seem to get comfortable, both caused by the baby's constant movement. She debated on whether she should awake him or not. When she finally decided to wake him she heard MacKenzie. She smiled and got up careful as to not wake Safaree and made her way down the hall.

"Hey baby." She smiled and she heard Mackenzie scream out in excitement.

"You want to come with mama to get a snack? Come on." She picked her up and put her on her hip.

Nicki placed her in her high chair when they reached the kitchen. This had become routine for them. Nicki didn't know what was throwing off MacKenzie's sleeping schedule off but she didn't mind. For the past several nights she had been her partner in crime.

"Let's see, Kenzie Cat." She said looking in the refrigerator. "How about pickles for mommy and crackers for you. You know you like to make a mess." She looked behind her and gasped. "You scared the shit out of me, Safaree."

"My bad." He leaned against the counter and watched her.

"Open this and get me a pickle." She pushed the jar into his hands and went to look for crackers for MacKenzie.

"You don't even try." He opened it.

"Thats what you're for." She said as she walked over to MacKenzie and sat. "Oh, can you grab me a yogurt, please?"

"Yeah."

After giving Nicki her snacks he sat on the opposite side of MacKenzie. MacKenzie extended her arm towards Safaree to feed him her cracker. He took a small bite and she squealed. Nicki laughed.

"Aw, my baby is a sweetheart." Nicki said.

"When she wanna be. Why yall niggas up?"

"Stop calling her that." Nicki rolled her eyes. "We couldn't sleep. Why are you up?"

"You wasn't next to me."

She smiled, "Is everything ready for tomorrow?"

"Yup."

"I'm so excited. I can't believe she's one."

"Yeah, time flew. This year was crazy."

"I know." She sighed as she stirred her yogurt. "Its almost like we went to hell and back."

"That shit don't matter no more."

"It kinda does but whatever."

"See. You getting upset. That's why I said it don't matter."

"I'm not upset." She said dully as she wiped MacKenzie's mouth.

"Alright."

"Are you trying to piss me off?" She snapped.

"Nic-. . . What are you talking about?"

"I swear you say the dumbest shit sometimes."

"Like?"

"That shit don't matter? Since when?"

He sighed, "Since I realized that I'd rather be alone than to live without and that my family is the most important thing to me. It don't matter to me. All that other shit was just some bullshit that don't matter to me. When is it going to stop mattering to you?"

She sighed, "I'm ready to go to sleep."

"Alright. Just take her up. I'll clean this up."

"Thanks."

After cleaning up Safaree made his way back to their bedroom. He already knew that MacKenzie would be in the bed up under Nicki. In the past month or so it seemed like they were attached at the hip. Safaree climbed into the bed. MacKenzie was laying diagnolly with her head on Nicki's chest and her bottom sticking in the air. Safaree tried to placed her laying the correct way in between them but she screamed angrily and crawled towards her mother.

"Just let her stay, Safaree. You know how she gets."

"I know I ain't trying to have her baby ass feet kicking me in the neck while I sleep cause you wanna baby her and let her be up under you."

"I'm not babying her."

"You are. She's always up under you. When SJ get here what are you going to do? Carry both of them from room to room?"

"Thats the thing. I think she wants to be close to him. In the middle of th night she's gonna end up on my stomach."

"I really dont think she putting that much thought into it."

"Well, I do." She said with an attitude.

"Yo, why you tryna start some shit?" He laughed.

"I'm not." He shook his head. "What? Im not!"

"You are." He laughed. "You a damn bully."

"What?" She laughed and rubbed Mackenzie's back.

"You just be snapping on niggas just cause you think you can."

"Cause I can." She shrugged.

"I can't wait until you have my kid. Imma fuck you-"

"Good?"

"No." They both laughed. "Imma fuck you up."

"Whatever." She laughed. "And why is it your kid? I'm doing all the freaking work."

"You ever lived with a pregnant woman from the beginning until the end and stand by watching her give birth?"

"No, but-"

"So, you ain't walked in my shoes. Shit is pure stress." He shook his head.

"Safaree," She tried to hold in her laugh. "shut the hell up."

"I love you."

She looked into his face and knew that he meant every word. She smiled and looked into his face.

"I love you too."

Nicki sat up and tossed the covers back once she felt the familiar feeling of her water breaking. Both Safaree and MacKenzie were missing.

"Not today." She huffed and rolled her eyes when a knock came at the bedroom door. "Come in."

"Nicki, MacKenzie isn't feeling well." Her mother said.

"Great. Another thing for me to worry about." She moved her legs to the side of the bed. "Where is Safaree?"

"Out doing last minute errands for the party. What's wrong?"

"My water broke."

"Oh. Well, we should-"

"No. Mommy, I'm not missing my baby's first birthday."

"But-"

"The contractions haven't even really started. I know my body in labor. I'm fine."

Nicki's mother huffed, "I'll run you a bath and you can see to MacKenzie when you are done."

"Is she ok?"

"Fever of 101.5."

"Can you give her some of the Children's Tylenol and if it's not down by the time I'm out I'll call her doctor."

"Ok."

After Nicki finished bathing she returned to her room. Her mother had already stripped the bed and laid out clothes for her to put on. She was beyond grateful that her mother had arrived early and decided to stay a few weeks after she delivered the baby to help. As she dressed she felt a contraction. It was mild so she ignored it. She finished dressing and made her way to the living room. She sat down beside her mother and placed her child on her lap.

"Aw, Kenzie don't do this to me." Nicki frowned.

"She isn't even acting like herself." Nicki's mother said.

Nicki sighed and MacKenzie lazily laid her head on her. Nicki stroked her hair. She could feel how hot she was.

"I'm going to call the doctor and see if I need to take her in."

"Ok." Nicki handed her daughter to her mother and walked into the other room.

"Mommy, can some of my friends come over today?"

"Micaiah, I don't even know if we're having a party. Just give me a second."

"Why?"

"Is your room even clean like I asked you?" She asked looking through her phone.

"Yeah."

"Go double check because if I look and its still a mess, you won't even be coming to the party."

"Nobody's even going to be in my room."

"Go."

"Yes, ma'am." He put his head down and walked away.

Once she hung up with MacKenzie's doctor Safaree was calling. She answered.

"Hey."

"Sup?"

"Where are you?"

"Um, out."

"Out where?"

"Just left the balloon spot, bouta hit up the jeweler to pick up baby girl gift."

"Safaree-"

"Don't start."

"You spend unnecessary money on jewelry that she gone outgrow or lose. Just like those damn earrings that she pulled out her ear. Why can't you get her a toy? Something she can actually enjoy."

"This my gift. You go buy a toy."

"What is she even going to have to look forward to if she getting this stuff now?"

"Yo, you wanted something?"

"Nigga, you called me."

"My bad."

"Faree." She laughed.

"Has the cake been delivered?"

"No, but about that."

"What?"

"MacKenzie has a fever. The doctor said that if it doesn't go down in the next two hours we should bring her in."

"Well, make the fever go away. Everybody already flew out here."

"How? We gave her medicine and its not working."

"Cool her down, Nicki. I don't know. Im worried about other shit right now."

"What should matter is what's here right now with a fever over a hundred degrees."

"She'll be fine if you get it under control."

"You know what. . . Bye, Safaree." She hung up and walked back to the living room. Her phone vibrated.

MyBaby: Luv u
MyBabyMama: FUCK u

Within an hour they were able to bring Mackenzie's temperature down. They began getting ready for her party while people were in and out of the house setting up. Nicki's contractions began to happen closer together but she didn't make a big deal out of it. She also made her mother promise to not say anything to Safaree. He would no doubt whisk her away to the hospital.

"So, as long as we keep the medicine in her you think she'll be fine?" Nicki asked her mother.

"Yes. She should be fine. How about you?"

"I'm fine, Ma. Please, don't make a big deal about this."

"Childbirth is a very big deal, Onika and-" She was interrupted by the doorbell ringing.

"Saved by the bell." She smiled.

"Mmhmm." Her mother shook her head.

As she walked to the door she could already see who it was. She opened the door and rolled her eyes.

"What do yall want? The party doesn't start for two hours."

"Girl talk." Lauren said.

"We left the chil'rens with the mens." Candi smiled. Nicki sighed and turned to walk away.

"The girls are here, Ma." Nicki said as she walked back into the living room with her friends following behind.

"Hi." Nicki's mother said.

"Hey!" The all said as they took seats. MacKenzie began crying loudly.

"I'll go get her." Nicki's mother said.

"No. Please don't leave me with them." Nicki whined and her mother laughed as she continued walking. "What the hell do yall want?"

"Damn, could you act like you happy to see us?" Candi asked.

"Why yall couldn't be like normal black folks and show up late?" Nicki asked.

"Cause we nosy." Sherika said.

"So. . ." Candi said.

"So, what?" Nicki asked.

"What's been going on?" Candi asked smiling wide.

"Well, this morning I woke up and my water broke." She smiled sarcastically.

"Quit lying." TT said.

"I'm deadass serious."

"Well, why you sitting around like-"

"Like I'm waiting for the guest to arrived for my daughters first birthday?"

"You is something else." Sherika said.

"So, you good? You not like in "kill a bitch" pain, yet?"

"Not yet. SJ loves his mommy." She smiled and rubbed her stomach. "He's been very good for me today."

"Oh. Im glad that you bought Safaree up. How's that going?" Candi asked and they all laughed.

"Fine." They just stared at her. "What?"

"When have you guys ever been just. . .fine?"

"Right."

"What the hell are yall trying to say? We good. If I said we good then what else. . . Ugh. . ." She closed her eyes and breathed slowly as a contraction hit her. It was stronger than the others so far. She sighed when it was over.

"You always complaining about that man. From the moment yall met." TT said.

"So, who are we waiting for?" TT asked.

"My friend, Safaree." She looked down the block to see if he was coming.

"Well, where the fuck is he? We gone be late for the concert."

"I don't know."

"You must've rubbed off on him." Sherika said. "Cause you ain't never on time either."

Nicki rolled her eyes, "He's about to get left. He is so inconsiderate. I asked him to be here before you guys. He so damn hard headed."

"You must really like him." TT said.

"We're friends." She looked down the block.

"With benefits?" Sherika smirked.

"I wish." She mumbled. "Oh, there he is."

"On the bike?" TT asked.

"Yeah."

"Damn." They both said.

"Please. Simmer." They all watched him park his bike and approach them.

"I'm-"

"This is TT and Sherika." Nicki interrupted him.

"Hi." He said.

"Hey." They both said.

"So, you riding with us or on that stupid bike?"

"Bike." He replied.

She rolled her eyes and got into the car. Once they were all in Nicki began ranting about him. They had known each other all of six months and she was complaining like they'd known each other for years.

"Whatever." Nicki rolled her eyes.

"Seriously," Candi said. "Yall good?"

"Better than ever actually. Like, this is the first time we're actually working shit out. Usually we go through our little shit and then get back together like nothing happened."

"Well, that's good to hear." TT said. "Now we can do what we were sent to do."

"And that would be?" Nic asked.

"Get yall ready."

Hours later Safaree watched Nicki from across the room. TT was holding her hand while her eyes were shut and she nodded. After a few minutes they resumed a normal conversation before TT left her standing alone. He approached her. She smiled even though she'd been avoiding him all day.

"Hey babe." She smiled.

"Sup. You ok?"

"Yeah."

"You sure?" He pushed.

"Yes." She dragged her word annoyed. "Why?"

"You was up late last night."

"Im fine baby, honest."

"And I can tell you're in labor." He chuckled and she frowned.

"Faree." She whimpered and rested her head on his chest. "It hurts so bad."

"Well, lets go."

"No." She pouted. "I don't want to miss this."

"Alright." He sighed.

"Alright?"

"You already got your mind made up, son."

"You don't seem happy about it." She frowned. "You don't want to be here?"

"Nicki, don't play with me."

"What?" She asked innocently.

"You shouldn't be playing with this shit. At least let a doctor tell you that it's ok."

"I'm fine! I've done this two times before and-"

"And lost two." He said lowly.

"You know what. . ." She shook her head. "You win." She pushed pass him and went to their room with him trailing close behind.

"Nicki." He closed the bedroom door behind them. She had her back turned to him.

"You think it's my fault?" She sniffled.

"What?" He touched her arm. "Baby, no. I-"

"Cause I think you do." She faced him.

"No, I don't."

"It is my fault."

"No it's not. That wasn't something anybody could control." She didn't respond. "Nicki."

"I'm scared." She cried. "I was scared with MacKenzie but I'm even more scared now. What if we don't leave with him?"

The way she looked at him broke his heart. He felt helpless. He had no idea that she was still carrying that pain. But how could she not? Before he got a chance to speak she grabbed his hands and rested her forehead on his chest. She whimpered as she rocked side to side, alternating where she placed her weight. She squeezed his hands. A knock came at the door as soon as the contraction completed.

"Come in." Nicki said.

"Oh. Your mom says it's time to cut the cake." Sherika said. They stared at each other for a second until Safaree nodded.

"Ok. Here we come." Nicki said.

After everyone had left Nicki stood at the kitchen counter. She was supposed to be eating but the pain searing through her body eliminated the desire to eat. She held on to the edge of the counter as the strongest contraction she'd every felt took over her body.

"Ma-"

"Don't. Touch. Me." She said through clenched teeth and Micaiah backed away.

"You ready to go?" Safaree asked to which she nodded.

He picked her up bridal style and carried her to their bedroom. He helped her change before going into the closet to get her hospital bag. When he returned she was sat on the bed crying. He kneeled before her and put on her shoes.

"You ok?" He asked and she nodded.

"Can I see my babies before I leave?"

"Yeah. You want me to bring them up?"

"We can see them when we go down."

"Alright." He put the duffle bag over his shoulder before picking her up and walking down the stairs. "Yo, Caiah! Come here and bring your sister."

Micaiah appeared in a matter of seconds with MacKenzie in his arms. He cautiously approached them. Nicki could tell that he was timid and unsure about the situation. She smiled warmly.

"Im ok, baby. Come here." She said sweetly. "Put me down, Safaree."

When he did so she looked at Micaiah and smiled while she stroked his head. She whispered in his ear and he nodded. She kissed his forehead before kissing MacKenzie. As soon as her lips touched the child's cheek she began trying to squirm away from her brother and into her mothers arms.

"Take her to Grandma and don't let her get away from her until we're gone." Nicki said and Micaiah nodded. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Soon they were in the car and on the way to the hospital. The entire way Nicki screamed and cried out in pain. Safaree had never felt any less of a man than he did at this moment. Once they were at the hospital they quickly got Nicki situated.

"Ok." The doctor said as he put on his gloves. "I'm just going to see how far dialated you are. Ok?"

"Ok." She replied as she watched his every movement.

"Oh!" He smiled. "Its time."

"Well, obviously it's-"

"No, Mrs. Samuels, its time to deliver."

"But, I don't have any medicine and I thought I was getting a C section." She said worried. "The other two were C sections."

"Well, you've made it this far without medicine. Its too late for an epidural and I'm afraid that whatever we have to offer either won't kick in on time or will effect the baby."

"Its ok for her to deliver naturally?" Safaree asked.

"That's what the little guy is saying."

"Ok." Safaree said.

"What the hell do you mean, "ok"?!" Nicki snapped. "Are you doing this? No. So stand there, shut the hell up and be useless."

She was so busy going off on Safaree that she hadn't realized the team of nurses appear. The nerves settled back in as they propped her legs up. Safaree sat quit in an attempt to aid the situation. Nicki listened to the directions of the doctor and Safaree's couching but it wasn't enough.

"I can't do it." She shook her head crying.

"Look at me, Nicki." Safaree said and she did so. "You got this. We're almost there. Come on."

"Give us another push, Nicki." She kept her eyes on her husband and did as told. "I see a head full of hair."

Nicki managed to turn the doctor out but still do as instructed. She kept her eyes on Safaree and her ears on his words. The only thing with the ability to pull her away were the cries of her newborn child. She instantly began crying.

"Its a girl." The doctor said.

"What?!" Nicki and Safaree said.

"No, that's wrong." Nicki said and Safaree chuckled lightly.

"Ultrasounds aren't a hundred percent." The nurse said before handing the baby to Nicki. Safaree took a picture as she smiled upon their child.

"I figured out a name." Nicki smiled.

"What?" Safaree asked craddling his new baby girl.

"Micadence or Macadence. I haven't decided. It looks so ugly on paper but I love it cause in those dreams all she did was sing to me."

"Ok."

"And for her middle name I was thinking Safari. S-A-F-A-R-I. I mean, that's all we've been calling her for these past months and I don't see me having another one of those so yeah. You got a kid named after you."

"Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"Not for the name."

"For what?"

"Her, MacKenzie, Micaiah. Thank you."

She smiled, "I love you."

*Five Years Later*

"Mommy!" MaCadence came running into the room.

"Yes, Tune?"

"MacKenzie won't stop calling me other people's names and, and Caiah keeps saying I'm gay cause I was apposed to be a boy and Kenzie says it too."

"Do you know what gay means?" Nicki asked and she shook her head no. "It means you're happy. Aren't you happy?"

"Not when they make fun of me and say mean things."

"That's because their mean little kids who want me to kick their asses. Mean people aren't happy people. They're just mad because you're happy and they're not."

"Really?" She smiled.

"Would I lie?"

"No." She giggled.

"Tell your brother to come here."

"Ok." She skipped away and began taunting her siblings as soon as she was out of the room.

Nicki looked at her phone to see if Safaree had called or text her but he hadn't. She figured that he must've still been mad about the whole dance situation.

"Sup."

"Don't greet me like that boy. Where is your dad?"

"Said he had sh-, I mean stuff to handle after Bash's game."

"Did he tell him to call me?"

"Yeah but he's coming to spend the weekend with us."

"Ok."

"That's all?"

"No, stop calling my kids anything besides their names." He laughed. "I'm serious, Micaiah. I will kick your ass. I don't give a damn how big you get."

"Ok. Ok."

As soon as Micaiah was out of the room she heard the girls screaming and running. She knew they were going to meet Safaree at the door. She got up and followed suit. Once she reached them MacKenzie ran up to Nicki.

"Look, mommy! Daddy got me and Cadence a flower and candy." She smiled as she held up her singled rose.

"Look, mommy!" MaCadence said. She showed her rose of an opposite color. Nicki could see the candy bouquet sat on the table. She rolled her eyes at it knowing that the girls would fight over it before it caused them to become super hyper and annoying.

"Those are pretty."

"Daddy got you something, too." MacKenzie whispered and MaCadence nodded with a wide smile.

"Hey!" Safaree said. "Yall can't be giving away my surprises."

"Sorry, Daddy." MaCadence giggled.

"Go get ready for bed while me and mommy talk." He said.

"You gonna tuck me in?" MacKenzie asked.

"And me?" MaCadence chimed in.

"Yup."

"Yay!" They both screamed as they ran away.

"And me?" Nicki asked with a smile.

"You not mad no more?"

"For letting Cadence quit dance? Yes. For being upset about Kenzie's costumes? No." She wrapped her arms around his neck. "I get it."

"I got you these." He pulled a dozen roses from behind his back and she smiled.

"Thank you. They're beautiful."

"Like you." They locked into a stare before their lips locked.

"MOMMY! MaCadence hit me!" Nicki pulled away and sighed.

"Did not!" They heard a small voice yell.

"Does it ever end?" Nicki asked.

"Lets go sit in the car and maybe they'll think we're gone."

"Ok." Nicki laughed as they both ran out of the house in seek of serenity.

So, this is the end. Thank you guys who have been reading my stories since LIT and thanks to you guys who comment on every post. This is kind of shit but the better version got deleted. I'm ending these stories because this summer I'm taking summer classes in college and working. I know I won't be able to balance. I'd rather end it than leave you guys waiting for months. I will, possibly, do SS oneshots. That's a maybe. Im also going to try to post oneshots at  http://drickafaree.blogspot.com/?m=1 . That's also a MAYBE.

Thanks again for all the support. I really like writing these. If I could continue I would. Also, don't be surprised if this blog is deleted in a few weeks.

Happily Ever After?

"So, you're really leaving?" She asked as she watched him place another item in his suitcase.

"Why you keep trippin' like you didn't know?" He asked growing irritated.

"You need to stay here! I can't believe your leaving me to hang out with them."

"Nicki, I'm going to New York for business."

"At a strip club?"

"I'm going for business and once business is taken care of I'm going to hang out with my friends. Yes." He was speaking calmly but she knew that it was only because he didn't want to argue. The irritation was all in his body language and voice. "You never have a problem with me going any other time so-"

"Because we go together, Safaree. As a couple."

"Either you trust me or you don't. Either you wanna be with me or you don't."

"Excuse me?" She asked angrily. "If I didn't want to be with you then we wouldn't be here, now, having this conversation."

"Oh? This a conversation?" He chuckled.

She sighed and walked up to him. She looked down then back up at him. He shook his head already knowing what she was about to do. It took him almost ten years to figure out the difference between her real tears and her 'get my way' tears but he knew now.

"Faree, I'm just scared."

"Your mom is coming today."

"And the baby could come any day!"

"Nicki-"

"Safaree, I can deal with you possibly missing my birthday but I won't deal with you missing the birth of our child. Figure that shit out." She began walking away. "I'm not doing this again!"

Ten Years Ago

"Oh. My. God!" Nicki screamed with tears flowing steadily. "Is it supposed to feel this bad?"

"Yes, Nicki." Her mother looked into the back seat at her.

"Candi, drive faster!"

"I'm going as fast as I can, Nicki. We'll be there soon, babe."

"I need to be there now! Oh my God!" She cried out as another contraction hit her.

Her water hadn't broke yet and she was seven and a half months pregnant but she knew that it was time. The hospital kept sending her home and everyone dismissed her complaints as false labor but she knew that something was wrong. Just because it was her first time having a child nobody wanted to take her seriously but she knew that it was time and she wouldn't leave the hospital until her baby was delivered.

"We're here." Candi said. "I'll go get the wheel chair, Ms. Carol."

"Ok." Nicki's mother sat her up in the backseat and then got her out once the wheelchair was brought to them.

Candi went to park the car while they went to check in. Nicki began doing her paperwork with the help of her mother. The pain was too overwhelming for her to concentrate on one thing.

"Mommy?"

"Yes?"

"I need you to try calling him again."

"Ok." Nicki's mother got up and left the waiting room to get a signal to call Safaree.

"These young girls be in and out of here." Nicki heard an older lady say. "Don't know nothing about raising a kid-"

"Cause they kids themselves." Her friend chimed in and they both laughed.

"Got they mamas up here stressed. Baby daddy else where."

"If they even know who the father is." She laughed.

"Excuse me?" Nicki said. "My baby is good. Worry about you and why you sitting over there damn there 50 years old and about to go into to labor. Where's your man? Oh. Ok." She rolled her eyes and just then she felt a contraction.

"Nicki." Her mother said. "He's on the way."

"I'm going to kill him."

"Nicki," He quickly walked over to her and grabbed her arm. He turned her around and placed his hand on her chin. "Baby, I'm gone be back before the baby gets here."

"But the doctor said-"

"That he's in position but the earliest he will come is two weeks before the due date. I'll leave on the seventh to be back for your birthday."

She sighed, "We didn't think Caiah was gonna come that early."

"And MacKenzie took forever coming. Its gonna work out fine. You keep stressing and he's gonna come tomorrow." She laughed and he kissed her forehead.

"Ok."

"Ok?"

"Yeah. Do you need help packing?"

"Almost done, actually. Thanks though."

"What time do we need to go get my mom?"

"Um, we should leave in an hour. I'm gonna just stay at the airport. My flight leaves at three."

"You sure?"

"Yeah."

"Did you order everything for my baby's party?"

"Yes, babe."

"Do I need to check behind you?"

"No, Nicki." He said dully.

"Is it gonna be a party befitting of a princess?"

"Nicki, please." He laughed.

"What?" She laughed. "Its her first birthday."

"Which she won't remember."

"But I will. It has to be perfect, Faree. I'm counting on you."

"I can't believe you let me plan it."

"Me either." She laughed. "Don't fuck this up." She kissed his lips.

"I won't!" He said as she walked out of the room. He knew that she was beyond serious since she still felt bad for missing Micaiah's first birthday.

Ten Years Ago

"Pick up. Pick up." Nicki mumbled as the phone rang. This was her forth time calling and him.

"Yo!"

"Safaree?"

"Yeah. Where are you?"

"I been calling you."

"Oh, its storming pretty bad here so-"

"Thats why I was calling."

"Nicki, dont do this."

"The snow storm is really bad. They said if I fly out now that I'll have a delay in like timbucktwo."

"Nicki-"

"Safaree, Im really trying to make it but-"

"Its always so shit, yo! If Wayne told you to get your ass-"

"Safaree, this isnt in my control. Im trying to be there but-"

"Thats alright. Just stay where you at. We good, Nic."

"Safaree-" All she heard was the dial tone. She sighed and grabbed her lugguage and found her way back home. She was officially done with trying anymore with him. It was very apparent that neither him or their son needed her.

After picking up her mother, dropping Safaree off and doing some running around they were finally home. Nicki's mother went to clean up MacKenzie who had gotten her hands on Micaiah's chocolate bar and made a mess. Nicki put away the rest of the groceries and then went and sat on the couch with Micaiah. He looked at her and she smiled.

"Come here." He scooted closer to her. She wrapped both of her arms around him and he rested his head on her chest. "You know that I love you?"

"Yes."

"Do you?"

"Yes."

"I know your dad talked to you about that stuff you said and made you apologize."

"Yeah. I'm sorry."

"For what?"

"Saying that stuff."

"Is that how you felt?" He didn't respond. "Be honest."

"No. . . Well, some of it."

"Which parts?"

"The part about Bash. I don't hate you, Mommy. I love you."

"I know." She stroked his cheek. "I understand why you were mad and I don't want you to feel sorry about that. The way you said it was disrespectful but what you felt wasn't. Do you understand?"

"Yes, ma'am."

"Do you know why I left you?" He shook his head no.

"Nobody ever told me."

"Ok. So, when I was really young Grandma and Grandpa left me and your uncle in Trinidad for about two years so that they could build a better life for us in New York."

"Really?"

"Um hmm. So, when I had you and an opportunity came for me to give you better I didn't think that it was wrong to do the same thing that my parents did. The reason that I stayed away so long was because I started to feel bad, like I wasn't good enough for you."

"But you are." He looked at her.

"Micaiah, you and your sister are the best things in my life." She tried to blink away the tears that were teasing the rim of her eyelids. "I don't want you because I'm with your dad. Sometimes, you guys are the only thing that keeps us going. I didn't want to put Bash above you. I just wanted him to feel like he had a home. When I left you, I left you with people who would love and take care of you. Bash, he didn't even know us. Imagine how scary it was for him."

"I didn't think of that."

"As far as things changing because of Kenzie they have but not necessarily because of her. You're getting older and I expect more from you. You can go live with Carol if you want and I promise you gone be doing more shit than you do here." She laughed.

"I love you, Mommy."

"I love you more." She kissed his forehead.

"Look who's all clean!" Nicki's mother said as she entered with MacKenzie.

"My baby." Nicki opened her arms and her mother handed her over. "What time is it?"

"Um, almost seven thirty."

"Oh! Caiah, go get my laptop. We gotta call your Dad."

"Ok."

Nicki sent Safaree a quick text before she called him on Skype. She placed the laptop on the coffee table and she and the kids sat in front of it.

"Sup, yall?" He asked.

"Hey babe."

"Sup?" Caiah asked.

"He just too cool for me." Nicki rolled her eyes and laughed. "What are you doing? Where are you? Do you miss us?"

"Dang, Nic." He laughed.

"What?" She smiled.

"I ain't know we was playing 21 questions."

"Oh. My bad."

"Kenzie, you aint talking to Daddy?" He asked but she had Nicki's phone in her hand and that occupied her attention.

"Kenzie?" Nicki said as she took the phone away. "Say hi to Daddy." Nicki pointed at the screen. "Say Daddy."

"Dadadada." They all laughed.

"Yo, I love hearing that." He smiled.

"Yeah, well she aint gone be allowed to speak if she don't start saying my name soon."

"Hater."

"Whatever."

"Caiah."

"Yes."

"I ain't forget to get that thing you asked for. Silver, right?"

"Yeah." He smiled wide. "Thanks."

"No problem."

"What?" Nicki asked.

"Mind your business."

"Safaree, you gone keep trying me and come home to not one bed to sleep in."

"What's SJ up to?"

"What else would he be doing?" Micaiah asked seriously and Nicki laughed.

"He's sleep." She said as she rubbed her stomach.

"Oh."

"What trouble are you about to get into?" Nicki asked. MacKenzie suddenly got a burst of energy and began to scream. "Shhhh."

"You know." Safaree said.

"And what business have you taken care of?"

"Don't start."

"I can't ask a question?" She asked with an attitude.

"Is MacKenzie walking yet?"

"You just left like four hours ago, Dad." Micaiah laughed.

"I left the room for a minute and she was standing."

"Really, Safaree?" Nicki asked now actually upset because he completely ignored her.

"Yo, you tryna start trouble, son. Chill."

She sighed, "Well, we have to get ready for our busy day tomorrow. Say bye, Caiah."

"Bye, Dad."

"B-" Nicki hung up the Skype call. Micaiah looked at her funny.

"Ok. Time to get ready for school."

"But, Ma-"

"No buts. I want you in the bed by nine and sleep no later than nine thirty. Lets go. Come on." He stood and she watched him drag his feet as he walked out of the room.

*Days Later*

Nicki stood around in the kitchen waiting for Safaree to arrive home. She couldn't figure out why he took such a late flight knowing that she would wanna be with him as soon as he got home. The front door opened and she immediately smiled.

"Faree?" She heard him drop his bags before following her voice.

"Hey, baby." He pecked her lips.

"What do you have behind your back?" She smiled.

"You still mad at me?"

"Didn't you get my edible arrangement thingy?"

"I never know with you." He laughed and looked at the clock. "Happy Birthday." He pulled a bouquet of red roses from behind his back.

"Aw, baby."

"Read the card." She sifted through the flowers until she found it. She pulled it out and looped through a whole on the card was a diamond tennis bracelet.

"Its beautiful. Thank you baby." He kissed her.

"You're welcome."

"I have something for you." She sat the flowers down.

"Really?" He like his lips.

"Don't even." She laughed.

"They way that message was set up on that card."

"The way I was joking."

"Word? You turning down head?"

"You gone want more and I'm too far along for that."

"Alright, man." He laughed.

"All you want me for is sex."

"I don't." He laughed. "Come on. What you got for me?"

"Are you hungry? I made your favorite earlier."

"Nah. I'm good. I appreciate that though."

"Ok." She grabbed his hand. "Come on."

She led him up to their room. When they entered the bedroom their were movies scattered all over the bed.

"What's this?"

"Caiah suckered me into going into this video store to see if they had any games he wanted and so I started looking at the movies and picked up a few.'

"A few?" He laughed.

"Ok. I got carriedaway but they're like pretty much every movie you made me sit through. Except, The Devil Wears Prada. Like, how could I not own this?" She laughed.

"We about to watch one."

"Um hmm." She smiled. "Oh, and I got your favorite chips and candy. Its in the closet. I had to hide it from your greedy ass son."

He laughed, "Good looking. Imma just take a shower and-"

"I ran us a bath. It should still be hot." He just looked at her and she blushed. "I mean, if you wanna shower that's fine. I'll just-"

"How is it that on your birthday you wanna do all this stuff for me?" He laughed.

"Two reasons."

"What?"

"One, you do nice, romantic, random shit for me all year round. Two, this is exactly how I want to spend my day."

"Alright. Come on with yo ass backwards ass." He laughed.

The next morning Nicki and Safaree were awoken by MacKenzie's loud babbling. They looked around to see Nicki's mother holding MacKenzie and Micaiah with a breakfast tray. They were both grateful that they did no more than make out last night or this morning would've been a lot more awkward.

"Happy Birthday!" Nicki's mother and Micaiah said. Micaiah placed the tray on her lap as she sat up.

"Thank you." She smiled.

"I made it all by myself." Micaiah said proudly.

"Really?" She smiled.

"Yes." Nicki's mother said. "All I did was supervise. He made enough for daddy too." She smiled.

"Thanks, man." Safaree smiled.

"Mommy, Mookie made you this." He pulled a piece of construction paper out of his pocket and handed it to her. She smiled at all of Mackenzie's small hand prints. She knew that it had to have been a complete struggle to get that project done.

"Thank you guys. This is really nice." She smiled.

"What are we going to do today?" Micaiah asked.

"Well, since I'm fat and uncomfortable no matter where I go or what I put on we're just gonna stay in and watch movies all day. Cool?"

"Cool." He smiled.

I know the ending is blasé and the transitions kind of such but I wanted to do something simple. Not drama filled. The last chap will def have more excitement. And I couldn't figure out how to write it but with Caiah Nic had an emergency C section. Well, that's what it was supposed to be. That's why in FS she's just getting out of surgery at the beginning I believe? You guys know? Anyway, that's  also why she's so nervous to be alone. Ok. So, yeah.
